Our Hojicha

Tenjo Pass is the hojicha we chose for its deep roasted aroma, gentle sweetness and remarkably smooth finish. Rich enough to stand up beautifully in milk, it is equally enjoyable simply whisked with hot water.

It comes from a tea merchant in Shizuoka with roots dating back to 1865. Among the hojicha we tasted, this one stood out for its warm amber-brown colour and refined roasted character — comforting and full-flavoured without becoming harsh or overly smoky. 

Approximate servings: 30 g tin — 15 servings; 100 g refill — 50 servings (2 g, approximately 1 teaspoon, per serving).
